It’s almost 4 years since I’m in AIESEC, having a variety of learning experiences, like: coordinating sales teams, project teams, the whole local committee and also working at national level. Although the most impactful experiences that I had so far, were the ones abroad. So far I had the chance to work-visit-have fun in Turkey ( 3 times ), Egypt, Hungary, Poland, Portugal and UK.
Last time in Turkey, Istanbul (15th-21st of March, 2010), I proudly represented Romania again at an international conference about leadership and management, called EuroXpro. More than 40 countries were present from Central Eastern Europe and West Europe – North America. Discussing topics like global impact, global youth opinion leaders, diversifying the international internship opportunities, all during 6 days. more…

For three months (15.09.2009 – 15.12.2009 ) I worked on the “Meeting Diversity” project in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, organizing a series of workshops and trainings for students from three different high schools. The workshops were concentrated on topics like public speaking skills, time management, study and speed reading or conflict resolution techniques. We also had some debates starting from movies approaching issues like cultural diversity or human rights; and two events, one through which the students had the chance to hear and discuss the experiences of young people that studied abroad through the Erasmus Program; the other one was a Simulation of the Council of the European Union where the 27 participants were given the task to discuss and negotiate on the progress Turkey has made so far in order to become a full-right member of the EU. All these activities were meant to offer the students the possibility to practice their English, learn something new and interesting and encourage them to explore all opportunities for education and international competitions. more…

“I’m happy I went in the Czech Republic for 9 months, because it gave me the opportunity to make new friends with whom I went through a lot of experiences, good and bad, but which made us stick together no matter what. Besides that it really helped me define my values and set my priorities.”
Hi, my name is Alina, I’m 24 and I went through the eXchange program in an Educational internship in Czech Republic for 9 months.
Culturally speaking it was amazing, a different language, different people, new job, new city. They are very curios persons and very interested in the Romanian culture, also because of the similarities, both countries are NATO members and members of the European Union which didn’t took in the unique European coin. more…
